until naturally you want to come up for air.
Then you climb back on to your rock or diving platform
and dive again.

ABSORBED IN BLISS
Perhaps one of the easiest
and most enjoyable meditation techniques
is simply to let your attention become absorbed in bliss.
You might use a meditation technique
like silently repeating a mantra
or self inquiry or a breathing technique.
Whatever awakens the experience of bliss for you, use it.
Then you let your attention become
absorbed in the bliss.
Instead of letting your attention
follow thinking, or trying to control your mind,
let your attention be completely drawn into the bliss.
The absorption may only last a few seconds
or it may last a few minutes
before being pulled out into thinking.
This is normal. You do not want to try
and hold on to it, or force yourself to remain in it.
You just immerse yourself into the bliss again.
It is like diving into the water.
You dive down into the water
and enjoy that feeling of being immersed underwater
until naturally you want to come up for air.
Then you climb back on to your rock or diving platform
and dive again.
Each time you allow your attention to be
completely immersed in bliss,
the bliss transforms you,
something very extraordinary happens.
And as you keep diving into it,
the bliss will become stronger
until the bliss takes over.
At some point, you do not have to dive down anymore,
the bliss has taken over everything.
Then all you do is surrender;
trust and let the bliss do what it needs to do
to awaken you.
