Stupidity is not devotion.
Devotion is a different dimension of intelligence
which has understood that intellect is a limited instrument,
with this you cannot grasp the world.

So if you really stretch this intellect to its limit,
you will clearly realize with this you can survive,
with this you can look smart in a tea party,
with this you can make money,
with this you can find a job,
but with this you cannot grasp the Existence.
It doesn’t take long to understand this.
If you understand this, then you will naturally bow down
and become a devotee.
It’s not an act,
it is absence of your rubbish,
that’s devotion.

When you are devoid of yourself you are a devotee, there is no other way.

The less rigid your personality, the more powerful your presence.

Yoga as a process, method, technology and science
is essentially to break the limitations of a certain concretization
that happens which we call “personality.”
To evolve from being a person to a presence.
If you are a person, that means you have made a shell out of yourself.
You formed a shell, within that shell only you can operate.
If you break this shell,
you will no more be a person but simply a presence – as life is, as God is,
just a presence.
If it can be encased in a shell, it becomes a person.
Yoga means you are slowly working on making the shell thinner and thinner,
more and more porous,
that one day you can exist without a shell.

When Persephone's mother Demeter was mourning
the loss of her precious daughter to the king of the Underworld,
she wandered the world letting all vegetation die
until her daughter would be returned to her.
When she arrived at the site of Eleusis she was the guest of King Celeus
whose daughter - Iambe - tried to cheer her up.
Together with an old woman named Baubo
they sang obscene songs in Iambic meter and told lewd jokes.
At the pivotal moment in the joke-telling
Baubo lifted her skirts and exposed her belly and vulva

In this act Baubo is seen as cunctipotent,
an ancient word describing the demonstration of female generative power.

Someone who does absolutely nothing is free
from karmic memory and karmic cycles.
As long as you are identified with your karmic memory,
the past repeats itself.
Karma means action and memory at the same time.
There is no memory without action,
and there is no action without memory.
As long as you are ruled by your memory,
it will drive you to do something.
Only if you completely distance yourself from your past memory,
will you be able to sit still.

If you are fully alive and active
(an example would be BAUBO..dmm)
but do not gather any new karma,
your old karma will start falling off.
This is the nature of karma.
The old layers of karma can only stick to you
if you keep adding new layers of karmic glue.
If nothing that happened today sticks to you,
the karmic memory of what happened in the past will disintegrate.
If you perform every activity as an offering,
your karmic bondage will start to unravel.
Until you are capable of doing nothing, do whatever you want,
but do it as an offering within yourself.
In a state of offering, you become available to Grace.

If your mind or your intelligence does not get entangled
with any identity including your body,
including your own thought process,
including your own emotion,
spiritual process is very natural.
If your intelligence is not entangled with anything,
it’s very natural for your intelligence to enquire
and open up different dimensions of life.

Once you get identified with something that you are not,
your intelligence is no good.
It just becomes repetitive.
So this repetitive intelligence is what we are referring to as karma.
When we say… when we see somebody going through certain patterns irrespective of the situations in which they exist –
sun came up wonderfully today morning, but somebody is miserable, hum,
flowers are blossoming, weather is good, everything is great,
but somebody is miserable,
then we say,
‘Oh, this is his karma.’

Why we are saying this is – this is his own doing,
because he has set up patterns which are just repetitive.
He is not able to enjoy the sunrise;
he is not able to enjoy the beautiful breeze;
he is not able to enjoy the fragrance of the flowers;
his karma is going on.

What is going on in his head is what rules him.
This is his karma.
Karma means action – your action or in other words,
your experience of life is 100% your doing;
nobody else’s doing.

As we take the risk of opening more,
we might discover that emotional vulnerability
is in fact the only response that makes any sort of sense
in a world that has gone a bit mad.

we can re-contextualize and re-enchant
our emotional experience,
breathe new life into it

behold its sacredness.

It is magic to experience emotion,
to dance in that holy alchemical middle
between dissociation and fusion,
where we practice intimacy with the colorful display
while not losing touch with what we are
as the vast playground
in which all feeling comes and goes.

To travel inside the core of emotion,
to explore its texture, its fragrance, its color,
its tingly felt sense …
we do not know if this miracle is unique to this star,
but we can wonder in awe
at the opportunity laid out before us.

More than anything,
we long to feel alive, to fully participate in our lives,
to no longer postpone fully being here:
to behold a sunset, to look into the eyes of our lover,
to hold our child, to fall to the ground in awe
at being given one more breath.
Before we know it, all of this will be gone,
it will vanish into the arms of the great weaver,
and this rare precious human birth will be over.

If we look carefully we might see that this longing
often comes with a condition,
though it can be very subtle.
Yes, more than anything I want to feel alive,
connected, and in intimate contact
with everything around … but only as long as it feels safe,
as long as I can take the known with me,
as long as I can know how it will all turn out,
and as long as I do not have to be too naked,
too exposed,
and too vulnerable.

But there is no aliveness without vulnerability.
In fact, they are the very same thing.
Vulnerability and aliveness are one,
co-arising together,
and weaved of the same substance.
We can’t have one without the other,
it just doesn’t seem to work like that here.
Perhaps in another world.

The aliveness you are longing for is not far.
It will not be revealed by way of an exhausting search.
It is hidden in the core of the tender,
the broken, the shaky, and the raw,
buried in a secret chamber inside you.
Go there.

designed to keep an illusion alive

Who is this “self”
and why does it need “improving?”

I’ll have to stop tending to this self
and its demands for improvement.

Of course I enjoy learning, growing, and discovering

To use the concept of improvement to characterize this enjoyment is,
at least within my culture, unhelpful.

Improvement tends to imply a standard
by which to measure myself,
an “ideal me” for which to strive.
Innovation is simply thinking of something new
and giving it a try.

Creativity is the helpful use of imagination.
Exploration is the willingness to venture into new territory,
relationships, and world views.
These things can flow naturally within my life
without being contaminated
by the conditioned desire to, “improve.”

Look around and notice a human society consisting primarily
of forms and products built according to someone’s “plan.”

Then look at the mountains, forests, and lakes that exist,
not according to plan, but according to their own nature.
As a forest has its own nature,
so does our individual life.

The Hara is the center of the etheric or chi body.
It is about an inch in diameter and is the gateway into the ocean of chi.

The Holy Man
Long, long ago, there lived a Holy Man so good
that the astonished angels came from heaven
to see how one could be so godly.

He simply went about his daily life radiating love
as the star diffuses light and the flowers perfume

It may well be that when we finally get to spend time together again…
We may be beyond our limits of time and space and enjoyment.
I don’t know what to say to us...

All I know is that we don’t have to be together
to experience the love and care deep in our souls.
I know though that what is happening is that because of our choices,
we are spending our remaining days with people
that we do not necessarily love or who do not necessarily love us…
except for their need of us, as in how we make them feel,
how they would fare if we are not here
and their fear of facing the future without our presence
as the strong anchor they have always experienced us as.

We work with people who do not care…
do not understand us and do not have any longing for us…
who are strangers to our souls!

We go to dinner…
go to a movie…
or sit at home..
with people who do not lift us and people who do not make us aspire
to a deeper journey but who cause us
always in tempter form to become harder, less caring, more protective
and who in the end contribute to our lonesome journey in life
and keep us away from our Tuscany or from anything that is real,
either felt or imagined.

All I know is that when we only have a few days left to live.. or a few hours…
that we will not be longing for a touch from our colleagues at work...
or the tempters in our lives...
or the ones who have always envied us
and fought us and belittled us…

When that time comes…
we will long for the touch of a hand that knows who we are...
for someone to sit on the bed with us and talk to us in silence...
for someone to gaze upon us without condemnation of any kind
but with eyes of love and hearts of understanding….
We will want someone to be with us who understands our journey …
of the paths we took and the reason we stayed on the debilitating road
we were on for so long...
These are the things we will want and long for…

The question is….
Will we have the time to do this for each other?
Will be even have the sense or the urgent push
to make it to each other where we can ease the burden
and smooth the creases of life
from the foreheads of the friends we hold dear?…

All I know is….
We do not know when the urgency will be upon us
and when we will have reached the point of no return
when we do not have enough time
to wrap our hearts together and recognize each other’s breath…

Yoga as a process, method, technology and science
is essentially to break the limitations of a certain concretization
