Do not call a cup the Sea:
Do not call mad the sage of Love.
Do not inflate your experience:
Honour the true wisdom"
have done their utmost and finally accept utter defeat,
they then cease to function altogether.
That state is beyond both words and silence.
It is neither one thing nor another.
The Absolute noumenon cannot be experienced.
To know it is to BE it.

It Is So
The Rumi Card Book
is to start humbly listening
to the warnings----inner and outer----that the universe will always be trying to give him or her.
This takes true discrimination, what Jesus called "the wisdom of the Serpent,"
detachment from our own plans, and a constant willingness to listen to the often quiet and obvious instructions of the Divine.
This family of warnings, then, is intended to make us all as alert as possible to the shifting currents of Fate and to the hidden motivation of others, which, if we do not attend to them, can destroy us.
No warning is final.
Fate always gives us hints before it strikes.
If we learn the Art of Attention, then we do the best we can for ourselves to secure our growth.
Let's---one more time---listen to Rumi:
Attend to the warnings that will come.
Do not expose what you are and have to destruction,
Remember how frail you are,
Who are less than a straw.
