AFTERNOON

Listen to the stillness within.​

Do not bring the gravity of Self-importance
into your moment of solitude....​

where all things are new and germinate.

There is a sense of adventure,
as with the young eagle
when spreading his wings
​ for his virgin flight.

He knows he has to abandon his nest to soar the skies;
he also knows he has to be bold.
It is something he must do
on his own, there is no help.

There is expectancy of newness,
of wide and bright horizons,
and the promise that all is well.

It is by dropping the shackles of the known
that you glimpse
your possibilities
and in the moment
of forgetfulness of nest-security
the thrilling flight of the Soul is born.

INTRODUCTION:
This work on nondual realization is a detailed report on growth beyond
what may be called the final duality, or what Roberts calls the first of
two distinct and separate movements in Christian contemplative
tradition.

The first contemplative movement is described as union of the self with
God, where God is the "still-point and axis" of being. In the first
movement, self is not yet lost, but functions as a higher self in its
union with God. The sense of personal selfhood remains. Abiding in God
remains. Being centered in God remains. The divine life remains. God and
self remain.

But in the second contemplative movement, self and God fall away, and
"that" remains. Union with God gives way to God beyond union. The mind
becomes fixed in the permanent now. The self's union with God transcends
itself.

"Here now," Roberts says, "begins the journey beyond union, beyond self
and God, a journey into the silent an still regions of the unknown."

So begins the outline of a detailed and revealing journey whose insights
are fresh and capable of nudging a person toward a further
understanding. It is also without reference to Eastern traditions and
vocabulary, which makes it interesting and different.

Roberts describes a quality of silence she had known on occasions, which
was so total as to evoke fear, annihilation, point of no return. Always
she would return to her usual self, warding off the fear through willful
thoughts of God, thus breaking the silence.

One day, however, that silence could not be broken, for the fear did not
come. And so there was no reason to return to the relationship between
self and God.

Roberts simply remained in that great silence.

For 8 days the silence rendered her almost unable to function. There
were moments of exhaustion and near black-out. Every chore had to be
done with great attention to every detail.

By the 9th day, Roberts was able to function as usual, but she noticed a
part of her mind had closed down. She had become emptied of the past and
come to live in the present moment.

Trying to understand that silence, Roberts first perceived it to be a
kind of absorption into God. Then, after a month, she revised her
pecerption to be one of "seeing", a kind of opening-up, not a closing
down.

She soon discarded that perception and decided to research the works of
John of the Cross. There she found nothing describing her experience.

Coming home that day from the library, Roberts turned her gaze inward
and saw there was no longer a center, no longer a self. There was
emptiness. She felt great joy and lightness with this knowledge. She
decided that this emptiness and joy was Christ. She could live forever
with that. However, further annihilation was in the cards.

A cloistered nun for nine years, Roberts reports that she returned to the world after experiencing the “unitive state,” the state of oneness with God, in order to share what she had learned and to take on the problems and experiences of others.

In The Experience of No-Self you talk at great length about your experience of the dropping away or loss of self. Could you briefly describe this experience and the events that led up to it. I was particularly struck by your statement
 “I realized I no longer had a ‘within’ at all. . . .
My interior or spiritual life was finished.”

 For so many of us, the spiritual life is experienced as an “inner” life — yet the great saints and sages have talked about going beyond any sense of inwardness.

 MILESTONE NOTES for August, September, October 7th's, 2018

Legal Husband since 2010 and Holy Gift of thirty years took FINAL FLIGHT in this house...in next room from me at the EXACT minute (5:32AM) i sent an e-mail to a variety of people re: The Power of Rumour and that i would start one saying I'm hired long ago (but was NOT allowed to tell anyone) by Tyler Perry & Oprah Winfry to write a book re: this man, his family, and this island....to Endvision that took away the "horrors" we were experiencing with parasitic family members in house who have stolen much from him as he could/would not say and carry out a NO! re: their actions.
I did NOT know he had Flighted at that time...a Big Bird and then a smaller one Told me as i returned from beach....approx 6:30 AM
Above is example of being in OWN" GOD I AM" energy and Everything Sorts without polarization...this also Happened when I was in TN visiting boys and their father..taking a break from intense times wih Mother in nursing home that was allowing maggots to get in her foot...Mother was NOT doing well...i did NOT think of Ma even one little bit  (had been obsessing re: her situation for months and involved in the caretaking)
When i returned from TN found mother happy and radiating/glowing....she had Transformed when i was NOT obsessing and trying to "manage" her "healing"....

ACTIVATION AT REMEMBRANCE ROCK
was picked up by breakers and slammed up on the sharp coral...a "miracle" eye not put out or worse injuries...it was definitely a NDE we shall never forget...INSTANTLY Understood we had passed yet another "Initiation" as there was no fear or horror...just a LEAP into QUNATUM DIMENSIONS of Peace and Understanding since befor time.

One Last Note Regarrding STAYING in GOD BEING for FOUR HOURS STRAIGHT
in Dentist Chair October 9, 2018   
did not shake or panic due to severe phobia of torture remembered thru the ages with mouth/teeth...
This is another example of the STATE of ACTIVATION and REBOOT that Happened Sept 7, 2018 Remembrance Rock when crashed by breaker onto the Coral full of needle point pieces of coral that could have put an eye out and more.  The CRASH caught me at my right cheekbone..just beneath the right eye. leaving small gash thru the flesh..
