 YES, AND YES
I am not “meditating”, but Remembering.
Not in thought or image of something known,
Outside myself, something “other”, there,
But a Feeling of my Essence, my Soul, Here.
And in that Instant of Remembrance,
Before words, thoughts, or images can arise,
The Whole of my Being Sighs in Ecstasy,
As the rememberer Vanishes in Her Presence.
“In Her Presence?" they asked,
“Was it not your own Essence, your Soul,
That you held as the object of Remembrance,
Not something 'other', outside, there?"
Yes, and Yes.
