*The miracle perceives everything as it is.
If nothing but the truth exists...

(and this is really a redundant statement
because what is not true cannot exist)

...right-minded seeing cannot see anything but perfection.

We have said many times that only what God creates,
or what man creates with the same will, has any real existence.
This, then, is all the innocent can see.
They do not suffer from the distortions of the separated ones.
The way to correct all such distortions is to withdraw your faith from them
and invest it only in what is true.

In the Garden of The Beloved

THE TATTERED RUG
I have tender affection,
For rugs with tattered edges,
For I was before, and now remain,
Tattered and torn at the edges,
Even as The Beautiful One,
Inhabits the Heart of my Being.

For Her Radiant Presence,
Has not perfected the whole,
Every aspect of the manifest form,
In a single, Mystical Transmutation,
But weaves Grace, thread by thread,
Stitch by stitch, through warp and woof.

Her Transmuting Alchemy, interwoven,
The Shimmering Filament of Love,
Entwined in the Ultimate of Intimacies,
Into the tattered and soiled fabric,
The inherently imperfect cloth,
Of the manifest Being.

And so, I seek out the tattered rugs,
Deemed unfit for purchase,
By the jurists of religion,
For I, too, have tattered edges,
Which, though appearing as flaws,
Are proof of Love, Unconditional.

For this one, deemed irredeemable,
Was Embraced, and held in Affection,
By The Merciful Weaver of Grace,
Who whispered from within my Heart,
“I am Here for you, Always….”
“My tattered love.”
