EVEN WHAT USED TO BE DEADLY
IS MUSIC FOR THE DANCE
OFTEN REQUIRING
…WITHOUT PERSONAL VOLITION
OR ANY DESIRE TO CHANGE ANYTHING….

surrender yourself to the inner silence
and thereafter wait for a sign of obvious guidance

the instinctual nature, the criatura dedicated to freedom and the unspoiled,
that which will never accept the rigors and requirements
of a dead or overly civilizing culture.
It means to say on the breath the truth of one's power and one's need,
to breathe soul over the thing that is of one's power and one's need,
to breathe soul over the thing that is ailing or in need of restoration.
This is done by descending into the deepest mood of great love and feeling,
till one's desire for relationship with the wildish Self overflows,
then to speak one's soul from that frame of mind.
That is singing over the bones.
One of the ways that we find the Wild Woman is through the telling of stories,
the singing over these bones.
It's these bones that show us the door to our scars,
and it's through our deepest scars
that Wild Woman is most easily reached.

she intuitively recognizes the innate predator by scent, sight, and hearing ...
...anticipates its presence, hears it approaching, and takes steps to turn it away.
In the instinct injured woman,
the predator is upon her before she registers its presence,

--mainly by introjects
which exhort her to be nice, to behave,
and especially to be blind to being misused.

is the one we make when we forfeit our deep knowing life
for one that is far more frail;
when we give up our teeth, our claws, our sense, our scent;
when we surrender our wilder natures
for a promise of something that seems rich
but turns out hollow instead.. --"Women Who Run With the Wolves" by Clarissa Pinkola Estes

There are opposites but
No opposition.
All opposition is sourced from
