It is a law of life that you should fight for life truthfully and honourably as long as you can and and that you as the individual cannot decide to abandon life –
that is a thing which is left to God and therefore we had to do everything we could to go on living.
The only weapon we had – because we were completely helpless – was to live truthfully and not to allow the madness which surrounded us to distort our vision of the truth.
I could have been wrong at any moment, but I felt that as long as we lived truthfully we had a chance for survival. And the proof is that we did survive.
